Asbestos is harmful to your health when you inhale the fibres. The substance can be found in corrugated sheets, insulation material, electrical cables, sewer pipes, tiles, flower boxes, around support beams … In short, everywhere in and around your home or workspace. How to take a sample safely

In this way, you can guarantee safe sampling:

Put on gloves and a European FFP3 mouth mask (note: only use a FFP3 mouth mask. Other mouth masks - which are often used in the context of corona - do not offer sufficient protection against asbestos)
Fill in your details on the plastic sleeve and prepare an envelope to the attention of Laboratorium Eurofins Ecca nv, Ambachtsweg 3, 9820 Merelbeke.
Spread out plastic foil to collect debris.
Moisturise the building material so that no asbestos fibres are released.
Take a sample of at least 2 cm³ and wrap it in the small plastic sleeve. Put the small plastic sleeve into the larger bag.
Put the bag in the envelope and throw away the protective clothing.
